Occupational Health and Wellbeing Needs Assessment

We provide specialist, evidence based advice and practice in occupational health and wellbeing.  In order to ensure you receive the most appropriate, accurate service delivery to meet the needs of your business, we will carry out a comprehensive Health Needs Assessment, which will provide innovative solutions to meet the ever changing needs of your organisation. Our team of specialist practitioners qualified in occupational health will complete these assessments, being experts in assessing the occupational health and wellbeing needs of organisations, their employees and the public health impact of each organisation.

A Health Needs Assessment is an evidence based platform upon which to plan a sustainable occupational health programme and is essential for identifying the key issues affecting employee, organisational health and more importantly, how public health impacts on employee health.

Initial Audit

The Assessment examines existing occupational health processes and procedures by conducting a review of existing policies and an onsite validation assessment to determine:

Health and Safety Policy and Organisation

  • Hazard identification & communication including physical, chemical, biological and psychosocial
  • Environmental considerations
  • Workplace health provision including health policies and general prevention

Corporate Health Strategy

  • Organisation and systems
  • Healthcare facilities
  • Health Surveillance compliance
  • Confidentiality
  • Emergency planning

Employee Management

  • Monitoring of Absence Management including reporting, trend analysis and policy review

An independent Health Needs Assessment will be undertaken by our Clinical Governance team to assess your occupational health service provision, processes and procedures to bench mark against all relevant legislation and best practice initiatives.

The outcome of the assessment will be documented in a full management report, meeting the specific needs of your business, and will be benchmarked against similar industries.  The report will include:

  • Occupational Health Framework
  • Health & Wellbeing strategy
  • GAP Analysis
  • Short, medium & long term planning
  • Policy support & review

The Needs Assessment will add value to your organisation through:

  • Targeted occupational health service delivery to meet the needs of your organisation
  • A reduction in reported sickness absence through targeted, early interventions
  • Higher employee engagement and retention
  • Increased productivity and performance
  • Return on investment
